I want to thank Bench for giving me this opportunity to attend this event, and of course for making Lucy Hale happened. I really had fun watching the fashion show and seeing Lucy Hale up close thus the photos. I’m really satisfied with my shots and I’m greatly happy to share it with you!
I went with Anna as she gave me her extra ticket. :3 We had a good seat at the side of the stage, and my zoom lens was my life saver!
Metrowear Filipiniana Fashion Show 2011 | June 30, 2011
In celebration of the Philippines’ 113th year of Independence, Metro magazine took the opportunity to bring together the fashion community in a special tribute to Filipiniana, aptly dubbed “Metrowear Filipiniana,” held last June 30. One hundred designers take to the stage to present their interpretations of the terno, the baro’t saya and the barong Tagalog, combining local fabrics with intricate beadwork and Filipino artistry.
The YDG presented an fashionable collection, FDCP took on a red runner Filipinianas while a Fashion Designers Association of a Philippines displayed their take on cocktail dresses.
Cebu designers, on a other hand, did spousal interpretations of a Filipiniana, a eccentric designers showcased complicated pieces while a general designers Albert Andrada, Cary Santiago and Ezra flaunted melodramatic creations.
Metrowear further indifferent a shred for a menswear collection with designs by Randy Ortiz, Anthony Nocom, Gerry Katigbak, Aries Lagat, Joey Samson, Jerome Lorico, Jeffrey Rogador and Barge Ramos among others.
